Job Description
The Accounting Manager is responsible for supporting and supervising various aspects of accounting functions at The People Concern. The position reports to the Director of Accounting and will support the Finance Department by serving as the manager of the accounting team, providing support for government and private audits, and overseeing month-end close activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a Finance Department in a supervisory role with a team of 4+ members
  • 3-5+ years’ experience performing non-profit accounting
  • Experience with multiple non-profit accounting software solutions, especially QuickBooks Enterprise
  • Ability to understand cost allocations and government grant requirements
  • Knowledge of GAAP and financial systems best practices
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Possesses problem solving and conflict resolution skills and exercises professional judgement
