Job Description
Provides fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Manages the day-to-day operation of the meat department to include achieving budgeted financial results, ordering product/merchandise, human resource/training, and inventory control measures.

Requirements

  • Consistently work to provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times.
  • Responsible for proper handling and merchandising of all meat products according to company policy.
  • Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation, according to 5S standards, at all times.
  • Responsible for achieving all budgeted financial figures for the Meat Department as stipulated in the store profit plan (i.e.: CTO budgeted sales, gross profit, shrink, inventory levels, wrap and payroll).
  • Order meat products and ensure that inventory control methods are in place.
  • Responsible for cutting meat using knives, saws, cubers, slicers and grinders. Maintain corporate safety standards throughout the meat department.
  • Adhere to proper sanitation and temperature guidelines including corporate, state and federal inspection guidelines.
