Job Description
The Indiana Department of Child Services is seeking a Child Services Attorney to provide legal advice and services to the Central Office, County Offices, and staff, focusing on juvenile law. The role involves representing the agency in court, serving as legal counsel, and assisting in case preparation. This position offers immediate trial experience and does not include billable hours. The attorney will work Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours a week.

Requirements

  • Doctorate of Jurisprudence
  • Indiana Bar Admission with license in good standing OR admission to the bar of any state with license in good standing
  • Strong legal research, writing, and litigation skills
  • Strong communication and public speaking skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant statutes, case law, and rules
