Job Description
The Coordinator, Benefits Eligibility and Authorization is responsible for reviewing physician schedules, obtaining insurance benefits verification, and obtaining authorization for procedures. They must be knowledgeable about various insurance plans and policies.

Requirements

  • Submit authorizations for internal and external orders
  • Follow up on pending authorizations
  • Ensure proper documentation
  • Enter authorization information into the billing system
  • Communicate with Revenue Cycle Management staff and clinical staff
  • Maintain patient confidentiality
  • Coordinate with clinical staff
  • Effectively complete other duties and projects
