Job Description
The Center for Justice Innovation is seeking a Coordinator of Social Work to lead therapeutic and individual support services in Brownsville, NY. This role involves providing counseling, advocacy, case management, and support group programming, focusing on youth impacted by community violence and the criminal legal justice system. Collaboration with the team and stakeholders is essential.

Requirements

  • LMSW required with at least two-three years of relevant social work and individual practice experience
  • Supervisory experience required
  • SIFI certified or eligible
  • At least 2 years of experience working with youth required
  • Commitment to anti-oppressive practice and creating space that centers BIPOC communities
  • Commitment to youth-led practice and belief in the innate capacity of youth to positively impact their community
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work evenings & weekends, as needed
  • Knowledge of youth engagement, community violence and intimate partner violence
  • Understanding of the criminal legal system, ACS, and other related institutions
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
