Direct Support Professional II - Foothill

Requirements

• Utilizing positive reinforcement and antecedent manipulation to increase appropriate behaviors
• Assisting and supporting in the planning, implementation, and documentation of programs designed to meet the social, emotional, physical, and personal needs of adults served
• Assisting, instructing, and supporting individuals with daily living activities, including cooking, cleaning, budgeting, bill pay, grocery shopping, and personal hygiene
• Accompanying individuals on community outings, medical appointments, and other activities as directed
• Be willing to work with individuals who may exhibit challenging and/or aggressive behaviors
• Be willing to provide hygienic care to both males and females
• Must be willing to work with adults who may exhibit challenging and/or aggressive behaviors
• Must be willing to provide hygiene care to adults served (males and females)
• The IDEAL candidate will be empathetic, a team player, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, understand the theories of behavior management, utilize positive reinforcement, and represent yourself as a positive role model.
• Willingness to work in challenging and/or aggressive behaviors
