Job Description
As a General Laborer- Wallula at Packaging Corporation of America, you will work in a fast-paced environment and be part of a team that provides competitive pay and benefits. You will be responsible for maintaining a safety mindset, setting up converting and corrugator machines, and ensuring box quality. You will also assist with data entry and reports and comply with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Maintain a safety mindset
  • Set up converting and/or corrugator accurately in accordance with proper setup techniques
  • Inspect all material before and after run to ensure that any necessary repairs are made before the next run
  • Monitor box quality, including, but not limited to, loose liner, warp, correct size, and print
  • Check rolls for damage
  • Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed
  • Assist others within the crew with job duties on the machine
  • Complete necessary data entry and reports in an accurate and timely manner
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping
