Job Description
Join Con Edison as a Infrastructure Lead - System Specialist, responsible for leading system development and vendor implementation efforts, managing infrastructure components of the Con Edison enterprise DERMS application, and overseeing a cross-functional team of employees, contractors, and vendor resources.

Requirements

  • Leads and coordinates project activities and routine application support with stakeholders in ETS and the Business.
  • Leads and manages a team of ETS professionals.
  • Manages a team who will be responsible for implementation of new patches, code, and configuration updates to the vendor and internally maintained products as new updates come in through Development, Test, and Production Environments.
  • Manages a team who will be responsible for performing disaster recovery exercises and activities on all supported applications multiple times a year.
  • Leads a team responsible for the support, troubleshooting, monitoring and optimization of vendor products and in-house applications.
  • Lead a team responsible for maintaining detailed documentation of issues and the changes that are implemented to resolve them.
  • The candidate will lead a team responsible for creating, managing and maintaining support documentation and processes for all vendor and internally supported applications.
  • Oversees the design, implementation, and overall infrastructure of the DERMS, operational AMI, and other associated support applications.
  • Leads a team who will provide 24x7 on call support on a rotating basis for critical applications.
  • Works with the ETS DERMS and Integration partner teams to implement a robust set of services.
  • Work closely with other technical groups to manage and address any issues with physical servers, permissions, cluster issues and integration services for Middleware orchestrations.
  • Identifies business requirements and creates a plan of action.
  • Works with the DERMS application, broader ETS team, and business users to optimize the application for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Coordinates with the Vendors, System Integrators, Product Designers and Architects to translate requirements into technology solutions.
  • Leads integration of frontend and backend aspects of the application.
  • Leads requirements governance and collaborates with business stakeholders throughout the planning and implementation process.
  • Provide training and demonstration to DERMS users and testers as required.
  • Exercise responsibilities as the lead on DERMS initiatives and projects, holding responsibility for developing solutions to business needs and resolving issues as they occur.
  • Provide ETS storm and weather event support services. Serve as the ETS Unit leader on rotation.
