Job Description
We are recruiting for a Junior Stationary Engineer - Facilities to join our dynamic team in El Dorado Hills. As a Junior Stationary Engineer, you will perform maintenance and operational tasks on electrical infrastructure equipment, assist with operations, and provide support for facilities maintenance, repair, and infrastructure operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, and one of the following: 2-year or 4-year degree, or a certificate from a technical or trade school with coursework in electric power, power generation, or industrial operations.
  • Military or merchant marine experience in power distribution, generation, or industrial facilities operations.
  • 2 years of experience as an industrial Facilities Technician or Facilities Engineer.
  • Punctual, dependable, and detail oriented.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure, take direction, and meet time constraints.
  • Strong prioritization skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
  • Ability to learn the use of manually operated hoists, measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers), and man lifts.
  • Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, industrial lift truck operations and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage.
  • Familiarity with standard and metric tools, sizes, and ladder logic, control systems, and PLCs is a plus.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile to ensure tasks are completed correctly and on time.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as required to support operations and maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to travel and work remotely for up to two weeks at a time, as required.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds over short distances.
  • Comfortable working at heights (up to 35 feet) using appropriate PPE, including climbing ladders up to 20 feet and operating battery-powered lifts.
  • Must be able to distinguish colors and color codes.
  • Ability to hear and distinguish alarm signals in an industrial environment.
  • Willingness to attend recommended skills training as assigned.
  • Willing to accept on-call Stationary Engineer duties once qualified.
