Job Description
The Justice Involved Veterans (JIV) Case Manager position at Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV) focuses on providing supportive services to justice-involved veterans throughout Minnesota, aiming to ensure compliance with community supervision, housing stability, and long-term success. This role involves outreach with correctional facilities, collaboration with partner organizations, and assisting veterans through various stages of reintegration into society, particularly concerning mental health, substance use, and access to treatment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with an emphasis on restorative justice, Second Chance initiatives, Social Work, knowledge of corrections, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of judicial, correctional, and community supervision conditions from a restorative justice standpoint, and veteran services within the State of Minnesota.
  • A broad understanding of the barriers involved when an individual re-enters the community from incarceration.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel long distances.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience working with diverse individuals, including veterans charged or convicted of serious criminal offenses.
