Lead Electrical Estimator

Requirements

• Lead the full estimating lifecycle for electrical projects
• Review plans, specifications and drawings to define scope, calculate labor, material and equipment costs, and determine resource requirements
• Solicit, evaluate and manage subcontractor and vendor pricing proposals; negotiate to secure competitive terms
• Propose cost saving ideas and value engineering alternatives to support winning bids and strong margins
• Prepare and present bid packages and comprehensive cost summaries to internal stakeholders and clients
• Ensure all estimates adhere to company policies, industry standards and best practices
• Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, operations and field teams during project handoff and execution phases
• Maintain and enhance estimating databases (historical pricing, vendor lists, cost indices) to improve accuracy and efficiency
• Mentor and train junior estimators, fostering their technical growth and promoting consistency in estimating practices
