Lead Scribe - Emergency Medicine - San Mateo Medical Center
Job Description
As part of our Medical Scribe program, you play a vital role in supporting physicians and health care providers while gaining first-hand knowledge and practical experience in the field. Flexible schedule preferred: arrange classroom and floor training for new hires. Site check-ins: Contact your regional lead regularly to get an update on program operations, site updates or changes, and to extend support as needed. Review the Lead Scribe Monthly Report to ensure the site is up to date on complain matters, staffing, and other site/company requirements. Communicate any matters to program managers or Supervisor of Client Scribe Services. Provide resources and suggestions to the scribe program manager regarding training and/or retaining their scribes. Identify matters going on at the site such as EMR transition, new Scribe Program Manager or Practice Manager, new Scribe Trainer, scribes struggling with documentation, holding effective scribe meetings, rollout of Vituity initiatives such as patient satisfaction, RME, scribe efficiency, etc. Available to work overnight shifts when needed. Required Experience and Competencies. One (1) year of Scribe experience. Experience documenting electronic medical records. Strong writing skills; legibility and spelling proficiency required. Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Team Player and portray leadership qualities. Customer service skills including providing solution-driven outcomes, establishing relationships, proper phone etiquette, clear verbal and written communication, understanding contrasting perspectives to solve questions. Critical thinking skills, such as using logic and reasoning to approach problems and to identify alternative solutions. Organizational skills, including attention to detail, time management, efficient and timely communication response. Vituity scribe support available.
