Job Description
The Mechanical Preconstruction Manager – Mission Critical has the primary responsibility of estimating, design/decision assisting, and trade partner procurement for data center projects.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management, and/or 5-10 years' experience with estimating, design management and/or field management.
Experience in a Mechanical Preconstruction capacity with a Mechanical Contractor or General Contractor
In-depth knowledge of construction principles/practices required
Proven experience estimating mechanical (including plumbing/process) systems
Experience working with MS Excel, On-Screen Take-Off, Bluebeam Studio, Accubid, Revizto, WinEst preferred
Experience dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and/or self-perform work
Self-starter, highly motivated with the ability to build trust and influence others
Strong communication skills with ability to communicate with varied audiences
3+ years of experience in Mission Critical projects
Ability to perform mechanical quantity take-off based on OPRs, BODs, SLDs, architectural floor plans (sometimes without mechanical drawings)
Understand main differentiators among various mechanical systems, solutions
