Job Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Product Validation Engineer II to lead, plan, and execute quality testing for our global Daimler Truck brand. The successful candidate will be accountable for scientific research, quality testing, and ensuring that setup and testing is conducted according to established engineering standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related fields (ABET Accredited University)
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant DTNA vehicle testing experience required
  • Technical knowledge on DTNA vehicle systems with electric battery and/or diesel
  • 2+ years' experience working with DTNA vehicle configurations – axle specific combinations
  • 2+ years' experience working with DTNA road to rig data acquisition system and vehicle interface controls
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience with KS Engineer's Tornado data acquisition system software automation and controls
  • Strong Technical knowledge of internal combustion and electric mobility powertrain electronics and systems from a product and/or testing perspective
  • Minimum 3 years vehicle systems testing compliance and applicable agency regulatory requirements
  • Proficient in technical reports and written procedures
  • Experience identifying and solving the root cause of complex problems
  • Ability to work in an environment with different cultures to collaborate successfully, including union & salary employees
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong PC skills including MS Office and database tools
  • Strong mechanical aptitude to be able to work across various engineering disciplines
