Job Description
MBK Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Director to join their team at The Bluffs at Hamilton Hill in Novato, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all operations of the memory care program, administering signature programs, and promoting dementia awareness in the community.

Requirements

  • AA or Certificate in gerontology, social services, business administration or similar
  • 20 hours of continued education in aging and dementia care
  • Prior related work experience in a memory care management role
  • Prior management or supervisory experience
  • Prior experience working with persons with dementia
  • Current First Aid Certification
  • Background clearances (as required by government regulations)
  • Health screening and negative TB test results (within the last 6 months or within 7 days of employment)
  • Solid pc skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite software programs
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, write and read English
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction and multiplication)
  • Ability to make independent decisions and remain calm during stressful or emergency situations
  • Ability to deal tactfully and professionally with personnel, residents, family members, and guests
  • Basic knowledge of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia
  • Compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding resident rights
