Job Description
The Operations Support Engineer NOC role at USDS requires collaboration with internal teams to deploy software and configuration changes, provide daily operational support, and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation. The role also involves providing Tier-1 support for mission-critical services, developing and documenting processes, and driving innovation through automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience in Linux/Unix server administration and application support
  • Experience and familiarity in interacting with and providing support to Kubernetes, Docker/container technologies, microservice architectures, database technologies (Redis, MySQL, etc), web services (Apache, Nginx, etc), monitoring solutions (Grafana, Elasticsearch, etc)
  • Strong analytical skills with strong written and communication abilities
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in automation to streamline day-to-day tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team as a team player
