Operator Packaging Machine

Requirements

• Assures quality of workmanship by continual observation of the assigned line and performing necessary adjustments to ensure:
• Proper bag sealing.
• Proper operation of metal detector and check weigh-er.
• Proper replacement of bags in the cases.
• Proper adjustment of case shakers.
• Proper adjustment of case sealers and glue patterns.
• Performance of operator level maintenance on assigned packaging lines.
• Correct and legible case codes.
• Assures conformance with food safety sanitation standards by:
• Keeping area clean and walkways free of product and debris.
• Cleaning floors and equipment during breaks.
• Ensuring that product rejected by the metal detectors is disposed of according to policy.
• Assuring that hand dips are being used and changed in the prescribed manner.
• Assures conformance with Health and Safety Regulations by:
• Strictly following Lock Out/Tag Out procedures on all equipment.
• Strictly following Personal Protective Equipment requirements set forth in training.
• Makes minor adjustments or repairs such as opening valves, changing forming and cutting dies, setting guides, or clearing away damaged product containers.
• Replenishes packaging supplies such as wrapping paper, plastic sheet, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, or labels
