Job Description
SightMD is a rapidly growing integrated ophthalmic provider group seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to play a vital role as an assistant to physicians, performing administrative and clinical duties. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will be cross trained to prepare patients for exams, perform vision screening examinations, administer eye medications, clean and maintain ophthalmic instruments, and assist physicians during minor surgical and laser procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician
  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification required or enrolled within one year and completion within two years of hire
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
  • Skilled in problem-solving with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
