Patient Support Assistant - Hospice FT Day

Requirements

• Perform activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, eating, walking, etc.
• Maintain environmental cleanliness and safety of patient rooms, unit, and equipment.
• Assist patients, visitors, and nursing personnel in assigned unit and maintain flexibility to help other departments with patient care.
• Develop respectful and compassionate relationships with each patient and family.
• Perform delegable nursing tasks delegated by the Registered Nurse, such as fingerstick glucose, urine dipstick, occult fecal l, non-sterile specimen collection, nasogastric tube care, 1-2 lead EKG, and simple clean non-sterile dressing changes.
• Accurately collect data, such as height, weight, vital signs, intake, and output, and record data on the appropriate documentation form.
