Plan Check Engineer - Los Angeles County (Evergreen)

Requirements

• Three years of increasingly responsible experience in structural design and/or plan checking or construction project management
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major work in structural engineering, civil engineering, architecture or a closely related field
• Possession of a certificate of registration as a professional engineer or as a licensed architect in the State of California
• Certification as a Residential and Building Plans Examiner, as issued by the International Code Council (ICC)
• Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning laws, and regulatory requirements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication abilities, both written and verbal
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software, Blue Beam Revu and other plan review tools
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to inspection sites as required
