Job Description
JRM is seeking a detail-oriented, knowledgeable, and proactive Prevailing Wage Compliance Specialist to ensure full compliance with prevailing wage laws, including the Davis-Bacon Act, New York State Labor Law, and local NYC requirements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, auditing, and enforcing labor compliance on public works or government-funded construction projects across NYC.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, Construction Management, Labor Studies, Business, Law, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in prevailing wage compliance, labor auditing, payroll review, or construction labor law enforcement.
  • Strong knowledge of Davis-Bacon and Related Acts (DBRA), NYS Labor Law Article 8 (construction), NYC-specific prevailing wage and living wage rules, and wage schedules and classifications
  • Ability to interpret wage determinations and collective bargaining agreements
  • Meticulous attention to details for accurate record-keeping and reporting.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive information and interact with stakeholders across all levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and wage compliance software (e.g., LCPtracker, B2Gnow, Elation Systems, or similar)
  • Experience with UKG payroll system preferred, but equivalent experience with other systems will be considered.
