Job Description
Collects, labels, logs, and processes blood and other specimens, ensuring quality and adherence to guidelines and protocols.

Requirements

  • Order all appropriate tests in LIS system
  • Ensure correct tubes and specimen containers have been submitted or collected
  • Follow CAP, UMPA, and GLP guidelines during processing procedures
  • Determine acceptability of specimens
  • Prepare specimens for reference labs according to laboratory protocol
  • Complete mandatory employee health, workers compensation, HR processes and other training and requirements
