Job Description
Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) is a leading supplier of building envelope solutions that effectively drive energy efficiency and sustainability in commercial and residential applications. We are looking for a Quality Technician working out of our Cartersville Facility located in Cartersville, GA.
Job Summary
Ability to perform various quality control tests on products to verify that all products meet or exceed minimum requirements. Ability to perform inspection on manufacturing lines to ensure quality products are produced and shipped out to the customer. Standard work week 40 hours a week with occasional overtime, no travel required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
Perform quality assurance tests and visual inspections of raw materials, intermediary products, and finished goods per work instructions.
Use dimensional measuring devices to ensure product meets job order specifications, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
Enter all test results into the Formulator database and manage documents.
Communicate quality issues with affected departs.
Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
Participate in audits on a regular or as needed basis.
Determine root causes regarding quality issues, identify and implement appropriate corrective actions.
Assist external and internal quality audits.
Assist production teams with process changes, quality plan documentation, and test requirement updates.
Assist customer service and sales teams to respond to customer questions in relation to product capability and limitations.
Help to drive continuous quality improvement and scrap reduction.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Must demonstrate safe working practices and possess great attention to detail.
Ability to follow CWT’s policies, procedures, and processes.
Good communication, organization, and time management skills.
Basic computer, mathematics, and problem-solving skills; ability to use a calculator.
Ability to use measuring devices (gauges, tapes, rulers, calipers).
Team player able to follow instructions from both management and peers.
Ability to learn and operate new equipment.
Ability and willingness to learn how and why.
Ability to work independently
Education and Experience:
Required:
High School diploma or GED required.
Six (6) months to one (1) year related experience preferred.
Working Conditions:
This position conducts its work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to some odors.
