Rotor/Control Systems Design Engineer

Requirements

• Own the design of rotor and control system components or subsystems
• Create 3D models of aircraft components
• Create 2D drawings of structures to support manufacturing and procurement
• Perform tolerance stack-ups of assemblies
• Perform load calculation and motion studies on a swashplate control system
• Generate bill of materials as required for the program
• Release drawings, models, and documentation through configuration management tools
• Set up program architecture for drawing management and release
• Ensure any designs comply with company specifications and meet programs requirements
• Perform design reviews, provide technical input related to rotor systems, and participate in drawing release process
• Establish and enforce best practices for critical aerospace components
• Support program needs for conceptual design layouts and trade studies
