Job Description
Electronic Arts creates next-level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans around the world. The Security Software Engineer II reports to the Sr Manager, Security Software Engineering in the SPEAR Automation team. The role involves designing and implementing new features, improving usability, and helping modernise the technology stack of EA's internal gameplay integrity platform.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with front-end development using modern frameworks (Angular or React a plus)
  • Solid back-end development experience with.NET, Node.js, Rust (or equivalent) for building APIs and services
  • Experience designing, querying, and optimising relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL/MSSQL); familiarity with non-relational stores (e.g. DynamoDB) is a plus
  • Ability to create clean, well-structured APIs and integrate with third-party/internal systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills, especially in complex web applications
  • A product mindset – cares about usability, user experience, and building tools that people enjoy using
  • Proficiency in at least one general-purpose language (e.g. Python, C#, or Java)
  • Desirable: Knowledge of containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure), experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code, understanding of secure development practices and software development lifecycle (SDLC), interest in application security and fair play in games
