Job Description
The Opportunity section describes the job opening for a Senior Hospitality Designer at Hyatt's Lifestyle Group Division. The role involves designing and facilitating hospitality projects, working closely with the Head of Design and Director of Design, and coordinating with design team members, clients, vendors, and consultants. The job requires a strong understanding of the Bunkhouse and JDV brands and policies, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

  • MS, BFA, or BS in interior design or architecture
  • A minimum of five (5) years related experience in hospitality design
  • Strong experience with the interior design process, including familiarity with FFE resources and construction documentation preparation
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hospitality design standards and operations, including fire safety codes, ADA codes, and applicable codes for textiles, furnishings, and finishes
  • Proven organizational abilities and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects, clients, and complex consultant relationships
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Spexx
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) and/or Google Suite (including Slides, Sheets, and Docs)
  • Rendering skills for interior elevations, plans, finishes, and custom furniture
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before clients, colleagues, and sister property staff
  • Ability to apply basic concepts of math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and algebra, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
