Job Description
Kernal Bio is a therapeutics company focused on engineering cells for in vivo CAR-T therapies. They are seeking a motivated scientist to lead antibody development and production. The role involves designing, developing, and producing novel antibodies, establishing internal antibody production capabilities, and collaborating with external collaborators to support preclinical and development activities.

Requirements

  • Degree in Chemical/Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry or a similar field
  • B.S (or equivalent) with 4-6 years of experience, M.S (or equivalent) with 2-4 years of experience, or PhD with 0-2 years of experience
  • Experience with recombinant protein development/production, monoclonal antibodies, or antibody fragments
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture, transfection, and cell harvest/purification
  • Familiarity with DOE
  • Experience with analytical methods (SEC, WB, ELISA, SDS-PAGE)
  • Strong molecular biology skills
  • Attention to detail, multitasking, and troubleshooting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent record-keeping and data management skills
  • Experience working in fast-paced startup environments
  • Adaptability, enthusiasm, curiosity, and a passion for learning
