Syms Strategic Group is seeking a talented Software Developer in Test to join their Veterans Affairs team. The role involves developing and executing test plans, conducting tests, and ensuring the quality of information systems and products. This is a full-time remote position requiring a commitment to developing high-quality solutions.

Requirements

Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures
Perform and lead tests and software testing
Must have strong experience in C#, Python and SQL
Proven track record of working on complex software projects
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Proficiency in writing and executing test cases and scripts
Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools
Experience with CI/CD tools
Familiarity with version control systems
Understanding of performance testing and tools
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Ability to mentor and guide junior testers
Knowledge of DevOps practices
A strong understanding of risk-based testing, exploratory testing, and context-driven testing
