Systems Specialist - Technology Ops - Server & Storage Ops

Requirements

• Supervises company employees and contractors
• Responsible for day to day operations of the team
• Directs support for all server and storage technology
• Develops procedures and guidelines for new server and storage technologies
• Leads the team in the installation of server and storage technologies
• Interfaces with user departments and internal IT support departments as well
• Plans and organizes daily work activities and sets priorities to keep projects on target
• Coaches and counsels team members to improve skills and performance, provides feedback, and takes appropriate disciplinary actions when necessary
• Ensures both work space and work practices meet the company standards on housekeeping and safety
• Has working knowledge of server and storage technologies including, but not limited to, operating systems and tools
• Ensures that security, anti-virus and backup programs are effective and operational
• Provides technical answers advice and council to staff and leadership as required
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery efforts as required
• Perform other related tasks as required
