Job Description
The Treatment Specialist will provide didactic education work within DWI, ISF and/or SAFPF Programs, and will assist with the planning, coordination, and implementation of activities. The position requires a valid driver’s license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record, and within 180 days of employment, the employee must have a letter of registration as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Intern (LCDC-I or CI) from the Texas Department of State Health Services or current certification as a Certified Criminal Justice Addictions Professional Applicant (CCJP-A).

Requirements

  • Provides didactic sessions according to designated curricula within the programs as needed
  • Presents educational and Life Skill classes to assist clients with basic education on these topics
  • Guides and assists clients in complying with facility rules and regulations
  • Monitors client behavior and reports incidents, inappropriate or unusual behaviors to appropriate treatment team staff
  • Maintains client and other records regarding services provided to include workload statistics
