Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Associate Director-Marketing. In this role, the successful candidate Associate Director of Marketing Clinical Trials Recruitment This is responsible for leading recruitment marketing efforts for high-impact clinical trials at NYU Langone containing recruitment marketing requirements including, but not limited to, recruitment advertising and media buying and the development of recruitment collateral. This individual, under direction and discretion of CTSI, will be the main point of contact for managing the development, production, and approval of clinical trial recruitment marketing materials and related assets, including media buying and measurement in support of these efforts. All programs must comply with the overarching framework, guidelines, and processes of the OSR, IRB, CTSI, Office of Communications and Marketing, and other business partners. He/She will interact with PIs and other collaborators across the organization to effectively develop and execute clinical trial marketing recruitment assets as outlined by project requirements and as directed by CTSI, and be responsible for interacting with internal resources and outside vendors (e.g., graphic designers, copy editors, advertising and media agencies, etc.) on a regular basis. He/She will work with the individual(s) managing clinical trials web content to ensure consistency of message.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and implement multi-channel recruitment marketing materials and recruitment campaigns for high-impact clinical trials, as identified by CTSI. Partner with PIs to establish key messaging points. Manage all aspects of advertising and marketing projects from planning through analysis of results and compilations of executive summaries. Identify best practices, insights, and resources to optimize clinical trial enrollment. Identify key audiences i.e., who is the target market and how should we be speaking to them and the most effective communication channels and tactics to reach them. Manage the creative development, production, and approval of compliant clinical trial marketing materials and related assets as well as with any associated media buying. Manage internal approval processes for all advertising and marketing materials and initiatives including review for compliance with regulatory and human subject research guidelines. Prepare and manage summary of marketing activity, including executive pre-caps and recaps of high visibility projects, as needed. Budget and Management: Plan, develop, and manage marketing budget as provided by project and/or CTSI.

A BA/BS degree is required. Minimum 6-8 years marketing experience for large, complex organization(s). Experience with hospital, health care delivery system and/or clinical research recruitment and marketing required in addition to previous advertising, direct marketing and digital marketing experience Strong verbal and written communications skills Strong interpersonal communications skills Superior project management skills; ability to manage cross functional teams Ability to develop effective messages aligned with goals of the organizations Creative self-starter; proactive; able to juggle multiple projects and follow through to completion; a problem-solver Ability to exercise excellent judgment Professional demeanor and able to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization Able to analyze a situation and use diplomacy and tact to effectively manage stakeholder needs and expectations Flexible Able to juggle multiple projects and follow through to completion Very knowledgeable about various social media platforms, and able to strategize and write engaging content for a variety of audiences and channels Experience within a large academic hospital, health care delivery system, or health insurance industry preferred.
