The AASD is responsible for helping customers with their acquisition process by rendering the necessary technical, acquisition, and financial experience to develop and manage the acquisition of services and products.
As a Branch Chief and second level Supervisory Contract Specialist, you will be responsible for the management and oversight of Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) programs for GSA customers within a specified geographical area for the Assisted Acquisition services. You will serve as Branch Chief to over three Sections and report to the AAS Division Director. You will also:Manage and supervise sections exercising the full range of supervisory functions and majority of roles through subordinate section supervisors/chiefs at GS-1102-13 level.
Market and sell current and/or new services to existing and potential GSA customers.
Set objectives for the Branch and determines the most efficient and economical manner by which to accomplish assigned workload, establishes priorities, allocates workload across subordinate sections, and provides positive direction to subordinates on goal attainment and methodology.
Oversee and coordinate the successful operations of branch contracting staff which is responsible for performing duties involving the full range of pre and postaward contracting for customers.
Monitor branch program measures and results. Participate in the development of work measurement systems on a regional level. performance.
Deal with the most complex or sensitive problems either personally or by recommending a course of action to subordinates.
Serve as a senior technical advisor to the AASD Deputy, Division Director and FAS Regional Commissioner and other FAS zonal and/or regional management officials.
