Boardwalk Pipeline Partners is looking for a Project Manager for our Baton Rouge, LA office.
 
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
 
Reporting to the BLM Engineering Manager, the Project Manager has full responsibility for the successful engineering, design and construction of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) & Brine pipeline facilities. 
 
Duties include:
 
*Handles a diverse range of complex project assignments requiring the use of experience, innovation and judgment
*Applies project management skills and knowledge (i.e. scope, schedule, cost and quality) in the successful execution of large/complex projects (>$20MM)
*Accountable for successful delivery of projects on time and on budget
*Identifies project risks and creates strategies to mitigate them
*Managing projects throughout their life-cycle including: evaluation and recommendation of alternatives; development and execution of project plans, budgets, and schedules; establish, lead interdisciplinary project teams; oversight and quality management of third party engineering and construction contractors; driving the safety process; assisting with regulatory filings and acquisition of permits; managing the design and material procurement process; preparation of construction bid packages; contract management; and monitoring project controls (cost and schedule)
 
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
 
*>10 years’ experience in the engineering, design and construction of interstate Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) & Brine pipeline facilities
*5 years’ experience in project management of LPG & Brine pipeline facilities
*Strong technical knowledge of LPG & Brine industry regulatory codes and standards
*Strong leadership, organizational, critical thinking, problem solving and written and verbal communication skills
*Experience in working in a project team based environment
*Strong commitment to working safely
*25% travel
*Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline
 
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
 
*Project management professional certification (PMP)
*Candidate has worked as a key contributor on a construction field assignment during construction and commissioning of a natural gas pipeline facility
*Professional Engineering license
