Job Description

What You Will Do:

As the Director- RIA Asset Management you will be responsible for the distribution of Transamerica’s Mutual Funds and ETFs to Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) strictly associated with the Investment Advisory Firms in a defined territory.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Execute on business plans and meet key activity and sales metrics as established by the organization
  • Reach out to prospective clients within market to grow Transamerica’s sales and market share
  • Develop new business and maintain existing business relationships by conducting in person sales meetings
  • Leverage industry contacts for opportunities to Transamerica’s Mutual Funds and ETFs
  • Become a Transamerica product expert while maintaining a deep understanding of competitive universe and competitive positioning
  • Work well in a fast paced team environment
  • Effectively manage expense budget
  • Stay compliant in accordance with Transamerica rules, policies, and procedures

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years external sales experience (preferred)
  • 5 years of financial services industry experience, including 3 years working directly with RIAs
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63
  • Ability to combine sophisticated listening skills with market acumen to anticipate and discover the needs & expectations of clients and propose suitable solutions through a consultative sales approach
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, problem solving and relationship building skills
  • Excellent understanding of investing, asset allocation and capital markets; and the ability to translate the value to advisors
  • Self-motivated and able to work as part of a team in a fast paced environment
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office tools

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment or work remote from home
  • Extensive travel in territory (approximately 75%)
