Job Description

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Providence Community Health Centers, Inc. (PCHC) has primary responsibility for the planning, implementation, managing and running of all the finance activities of PCHC, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting and negotiations.
As part of an executive leadership team (ELT), the CFO will interact with various members of PCHC, including the board of directors.
§ Providing leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team
§ Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO/president and members of ELT
§ Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting
§ Advising on long-term business and financial planning
§ Establishing and developing relations with ELT, board of directors, management and external partners and stakeholders
§ Must display a cohesive ability at interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written.
§ Participate in professional activities, maintain professional affiliations to keep abreast of current trends/changes and legislation in the field.
§ Participate in the development of department operating budget and ensure that all operations are maintained within allocated funds.
§ Develop and implement policies and procedures for department and ensure compliance within. Provide for organization and maintenance of an effective system of accounting and cos determination.
§ Continually review and modify cost systems and data collection to insure maximum cost reimbursement for patient services.
§ Prepare periodic reports outlining health centers' financial position in all areas of assets, liabilities, income, and expense, based on past, present and planned future operations.
§ An MBA or CPA is also highly desirable. At least 10 years' experience in the healthcare industry and managing a team is a must.
§ Prepare and effect timely filing of federal, state, HC association, third party, and other financial reports as required.
§ Remain current with national and local economic conditions and serve as advisor to Chief Executive Office on their impact.
§ Recommend budget planning guidelines to Executive Director, coordinate preparation of current operating and capital budgets with ELT and the CEO for each health center site.
