Job Description

Our Commitment to Diversity: Curriculum Associates (CA) hires people, not positions. If you feel energized by what you read here, but aren’t sure you meet every qualification, please apply! We believe diverse backgrounds lead to innovative thinking, making our products better for the educators and 8 million students we serve.

Why join this team:

Curriculum Associates is a rapidly growing educational technology and publishing company committed to making classrooms better places for teachers and students. Headquartered outside Boston, we are an innovative, collaborative, and mission-driven company that has been consistently recognized as a Boston Globe Top Workplace and a Boston Business Journal Best Place to Work. Come influence the creation of educational resources that are used by eight million students around the country!

We are seeking an enthusiastic Associate Product Manager to join the grade K-8 Supplemental ELA Instruction team. Candidate will work cross-functionally with the Bids & Proposals, Sales, and i-Ready Product Marketing teams, serving as product expert and voice of the customer, combining a deep understanding of our products with insights about priorities/important trends in teaching and learning (e.g., Science of Reading), to help drive the growth of our business. You will work alongside an innovative, creative, mission-driven team that is focused on developing high-quality, instructionally sound educational resources that engage all students and support anti-racist beliefs and equity for all learners.

The impact you’ll have:
  • Developing expertise and product knowledge, and serving as an expert in the market landscape, in order to support the ELA content-development teams in building lessons that meet the needs of customers, and that align with the demands of statewide adoptions
  • Developing and refining accurate documentation and strategic product messaging for CA’s elementary ELA programs
  • Being an integral contributor to writing proposals to state/school district solicitations
  • Establishing strong working partnerships across internal groups including Bids & Proposals, Content Marketing, Professional Development, and Assessment teams
  • Communicating new product features and helping to organize training for account management, field trainers, tech support, and customer service professionals
  • Acting as the point of first reference for all product development inquiries from customers and our colleagues in the field (professional development, account management, sales)
  • Maintaining competitive information and market research and sharing it with teams to inform content development
  • Supporting product marketing by conceptualizing and helping to create customer-facing materials that will support “stickiness”
  • Occasionally creating and/or editing ELA content, with supervision
What we’re looking for:
  • 3+ years of experience in educational publishing, instructional design, standards alignment, literacy development, curriculum mapping or another relevant field
  • You are an effective, active listener with strong communication skills, both verbally and written
  • You are a self-starter, capable of excellent organization/prioritization, delivering quality work under deadlines
  • Experience working on an editorial and/or marketing team a plus
