Job Purpose

This role will help commercial customers plan and develop scope, define deliverables, identify the required resources, budget, and understand the timing and electrification needs for EV charging infrastructure as well as the incentive available to support the EV conversion journey including rate options, cost-based charging, and a locational analysis of charger siting. 

As part of a larger EV Make-Ready team, this position will encompass program delivery, enrollment management and support grid-side integration of charging infrastructure with customer-owned facilities. As a customer facing role, this position will engage and educate customers and community leaders on the benefits, process and associated incentives available through National Grid’s EV Make Ready programs. The role will also work with sales, vendors and customers in the Commercial, Industrial and Small Business segments to enhance our programs, products and services and track success to targets, budgets, and customer satisfaction are primary measures of success. Products and services include but are not limited to: Fleet Assessment Services, EV Infrastructure Make-Ready Program (MRP) incentives for Medium and Heavy Duty MRP vehicles, and Transit and Direct Current Fast Charger (DCFC) offerings as well as our other related programs and services. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Work with marketing, sales and the Clean Transportation and other EV PM’s to design, deliver and coordinate customer engagement strategies, business development plans and operationalize customer and vendor participation as part of a multi-year program
  • Be the primary contact person supporting EV fleet commercial customers and vendors in the UNY Electric Service Territory
  • Understand and educate customers on fleet electrification strategies and priorities, coordinate assessments of existing infrastructure, operations and business needs as part of EV fleet solutions and EV Make-Ready Program (MRP) offerings
  • Track projects, budget and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives. 
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects, develop mitigation plans be the point person for managing multiple client-side projects related to electric vehicle and charging infrastructure 

Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required

  • Demonstrable interpersonal skills and influencing skills to manage relationships across the business to engage and work alongside business function leads to drive performance improvements and agree required changes to business processes.
  • Exceptional communication, both written and verbal, are required.


  • Bachelor’s Degree, Advanced Degree welcome but not required,
  • 5+ years of professional experience in commercial or technical sales or senior project/program implementation. Experience in the electric vehicle, electrical energy services, fleet/DCFC management/procurement, sector preferred 
  • Proven track record of meeting goals and delivering value,
  • Strong collaboration, outreach, and oral and written communication skills with an ability to adapt and tailor approach to influence a wide variety of audiences,
  • Critical thinking, ability to organize information (quantitative and qualitative) and demonstrated skills in the use of relevant software e.g. Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) along with the ability to learn other programs and applications such as Salesforce, Power BI and SAP.
  • Travel required for team, customer and site meetings/inspections
