Job Purpose

Reporting to the Manager, Process & Strategy, this key role will provide insightful data analysis and interpretation, leadership around end-to end process and seamless cross-functional teamwork.  This key individual will need to understand the business drivers that impact end-to-end processes, including financial, regulatory, operational, capital, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and foster a culture of innovation in the end-to-end process, advising leadership who support the value stream and the wider business to understand the impact of existing policies, processes and ways of working with stakeholders.
  • Support and implement an integrated portfolio plan, across all processes, that are aligned to and functional objectives.
  • Work with leadership team to identify improvement opportunities to increase operational efficiency.
  • Develop standards, policy and procedures.
  • Advocate outcomes and recommendations to cross functional audiences through written reports and oral presentations.
  • Interface with process and functional leaders to provide analytical support and insight to help deliver on:
                        o    Financial results consistent with defined targets
                        o    Operational productivity performance focused on Customer Meter Services and Gas Construction 
                        o    Enterprise wide unit costing analytics 
  • Assist the Manager and Director in the overall delivery of process performance and help to coordinate across the matrixed support portions of the organization. Provide leadership to solve the most complex system wide problems. 
  • Responsible for the management of multiple initiatives directed toward end-to-end process model and other organizational objectives.
  • Track Business Operations & Engineering participation in PEX initiatives and hubs. 
  • Drive the process for performance/process reporting for the US executive hub and other key reporting requirements by working collaboratively with process colleagues.  
  • Cultivate successful working relationships with respective colleagues to ensure consistent operational performance support, especially in key areas such as policy, strategy, and information systems. 


Knowledge & Experience Required

  • Strong process management experience
  • Excellent leadership and engagement skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of relevant industry practice and current trends within the industry
  • Financial background 
  • Knowledge of gas utility operations
  • Knowledge of specific Company regulatory data reporting and recordkeeping requirements 
  • Operational and strategic experience in one or more disciplines in an electric/gas utility 

Qualifications Required:

  • MS Office tools – Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate in particular.
  • Strong understanding of Python/R/SQL and experience with Alteryx, Tableau, VBA, and other common languages/applications is a plus.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business, finance, economics, or engineering with an advanced business degree preferred.
  • Experience with data analysis/machine learning python libraries such as Pandas, Seaborn, and TensorFlow. 
  • Experience in planning, performance management, reporting and working with external agencies/stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well across all company functions with staff from a diverse range of backgrounds and experience. 
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
