Performs a variety of complex tasks to support supervisors, managers, elected officials and department heads; prepares, processes and verifies data, documents and records for accuracy; researches and resolves issues; completes special projects; and designs, implements and maintains data systems. May act as group/team lead under a manager or supervisor.Responsibilities
1. Prepares, processes, and maintains accurate data and records, utilizing department-specific and/or county-wide general computer systems.
2. Researches, compiles and analyzes data to respond to inquiries and/or resolve discrepancies.
3. Acts as a subject matter expert and team leader to provide guidance and training to staff and others, including developing, updating and training staff on policies and procedures, coordinating and monitoring tasks and serving as liaison to other departments and the public.
4. Utilizes expertise to verify accuracy of information to ensure compliance with policies and procedures and applicable county, state and federal statutes.
5. Performs general office duties such as answering telephones, greeting clients, typing correspondence, assisting the public with information, filing, and maintaining inventory.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications
Education, Experience and Training:
Graduation from accredited high school/GED Program. Four (4) years of work related experience or sixty (60) hours from an accredited college or university in a job related field of study or a combination of the two.
Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to type 35 wpm or 70 kspm. Skilled in the use of standard software applications. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments and the general public.

Physical/Environmental Requirements:
· Standard office environment. Requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking and ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
· An employee may be transferred to another department, shift, location, or facility based on the needs of the Department.
· Working in a 24-hour facility may make the employee subject to working mandatory overtime or remaining on duty and working all, or a part of, an additional shift (“double shift”).
· The incumbent is / may be considered to be ‘essential personnel’ subject to being held over or called back to a work location or alternate site at all times. When required, you will be notified by your supervisor.
· Must be at least 21 years of age (for applicable positions) and must pass all portions (physical/written) of the Juvenile Academy to continue employment or all standards related to PREA and Ethics for specific positions.
