Requirements

• Maintain uniform standard
• Greet guests with a smiling face and helpful demeanor
• Operate cash register or electronic scanner
• Ensure proper pricing by scanning correct barcode
• Properly use and maintain computers, registers, and scanner equipment
• Suggestively sell items to guests at the register
• Monitor merchandise brought to the register
• Redeem coupons and weigh produce items
• Kindly ask guests to read and answer pin pad questions
• Check acceptable identification
• Receive cash, checks, debit cards, credit cards, or gift cards
• Issue receipts and any change due
• Accurately count change back to guests
• Bag or box merchandise
• Assist with carry-outs when needed
• Compute and record totals of all transactions on daily record sheet
• Call the code for a cash drop
• Keep work area clean and neat
• Count down drawer at end of shift
• Answer questions and provide information to guests
• May resolve guest complaints with courtesy and respect
• Avoid conversations with coworkers when guests are present
• Avoid use of personal cell phone while on the sales floor
• Stock shelves and check price tags as needed
• Monitor checkout station
• Prepare assigned areas for inventory
• Carry out directives of management efficiently
• Practice teamwork and cooperation with others
• Possess time management skills and be able to prioritize tasks
• Ability to manage stress in a fast-paced environment
• Stand for most of shift, bend and walk occasionally
• Use arms, hands, and fingers to feel, handle, reach, and lift
• Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds or more occasionally
• Push and/or pull 50-100 pounds or more occasionally
• Communicate with and understand team members and guests
• See product and payment methods
• Work in accordance with all safety regulations of Specs Family Partners and OSHA
