Role OverviewThe Behavioral Health Technician assists in providing a safe environment for individuals, answering clients' questions, and reporting any changes in the client's physical or mental condition. The BHT is responsible for supervising clients during the program with emphasis on client safety and wellbeing.
What You Will Do
Monitor clients at all times, de-escalate AMA and other client problems, and maintain a logbook for the continuity of care. Participate in all staff meetings, ensure garbage is disposed of properly, and maintain a clean and efficient work area.

Must be detail-oriented, have excellent verbal/written communication skills, and be able to work under pressure. Must have the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively, and be empathetic and non-judgmental when working with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED preferred
- Experience working in substance abuse and/or mental health preferred
- Valid state driving license with no major violations in past five (5) years
