Role OverviewThe Tool and Die maker will analyze specifications, machine tool and parts to fabricate dies from raw steel stock, and repair existing dies.
What You Will Do
Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts, select metals and alloys, set up and operate conventional machine tools, study blueprints, and inspect finished dies.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must have experience utilizing a press fit, slip fit and tolerance, working with a broad range of materials, and excellent communication skills.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience fabricating dies for automated or other related equipment
- Ability to use lathes, milling machine, grinders, drill machine, gauge blocks, dial indicators, calipers, and micrometers
- Ability to apply basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
