Role OverviewThe Mercedes-Benz D.R.I.V.E. Academy is a 12-month development program designed to prepare current MBUSI Team Members for future Repair Technician opportunities. Participants will complete six (6) months of instructor-led training followed by six (6) months of on-the-job training in a repair environment.
What You Will Do
Follow all MBUSI safety, quality, and workplace requirements, maintain satisfactory attendance, receive satisfactory performance evaluations, and successfully complete all required training, assessments, and program requirements.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Successful completion of the program does not guarantee placement as a Repair Technician. Placement opportunities will be based on business and manpower needs.
Requirements
- Be a current full-time MBUSI Team Member with a minimum of three (3) years of full-time service
- Have satisfactory performance evaluations
- Have no active disciplinary action (CPR)
- Meet at least one (1) of the following technical requirements:
- Minimum of two (2) years of automotive repair/service experience
- Completion of military technical training and a minimum of one (1) year of relevant military maintenance or repair experience
- Completion of a technical certificate, diploma, or associate degree in automotive technology or a related vehicle repair field
- Completion of a registered or certified apprenticeship program in a skilled trade or repair-related field
