Job Description
Provides English Language Development (ELD) instruction to students identified as English Learners (ELs). Leads as the second language expert/specialist to all staff in a school, evaluating students' progress and maintaining student records.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania certificate to teach English with an add-on ESL Specialist Certificate
Knowledge of modern methods, principles and practices of elementary, middle, and secondary education, English Language Arts and ESL, second language acquisition child growth and development, and vocational education
