Job Description
This is a Philadelphia Federal Teacher Union (PFT) represented position. The salary ranges from $56,796 to $98,293 depending on level of education and years of experience. The teacher will plan and teach their subject area, provide instruction to students, and use real life applications and simulations to instruct students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate in respective grade level, and endorsements in respective subject area, OR ability to obtain an emergency permit and meet requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge of principles, practices, and methods of grade level education, subject specific expertise, and critical thinking methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to assess students' needs, design differentiated instruction, use simulations and technological innovations, and communicate effectively
