Job Description
The 26-27SY Teacher, Full-time - Special Education position is a represented position by the Philadelphia Federal Teacher Union (PFT) with a salary range of $56,796 to $98,293, depending on education level and years of experience. The teacher plans and teaches their subject area, following the scope and sequence for all courses, and provides instruction to students in a variety of planned courses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate in respective grade level, and endorsements in respective subject area, OR ability to obtain an emergency permit and consistently meet emergency permit requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles, practices, and methods of grade level education, subject specific expertise, and critical thinking methodologies and problem-solving techniques
