Job Description
The School District of Philadelphia is seeking a 26-27SY Teacher, Full-time-School Counselor 7-12. The successful candidate will advise students at an assigned secondary or middle school, provide counseling services, and implement broad-based programs. The position requires a master's degree in school counseling, a valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania instructional specialist certificate, and the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and community/governmental agencies.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in school counseling at an accredited college or university.
  • Valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania instructional specialist certificate endorsed for Secondary Counselor (or Guidance Counselor Certificate issued prior to July 1, 1969) OR Valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Elementary and Secondary School Counselor (PreK - 12) certificate.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and community/governmental agencies.
