Role Overview

The Slitter Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating slitter machines and continually monitoring materials and machine parameters to assure compliance with safety and customer specifications. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined. This role is located in Waterbury, CT, and will be fully on-site.

What You Will Do

Setting up and operating slitter machines, monitoring materials and machine parameters, complying with safety rules and regulations, following PPE and JSP documents, and performing light maintenance on machines.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, have 3-5 years' experience running coil slitters or other related machinery, and have excellent decision-making skills and organizational ability.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and write English
  • Ability to maintain production records and logs
  • 3-5 years' experience running coil slitters or other related machinery
  • Ability to perform industrial math, addition, and subtraction
  • Familiarity with the use of micrometers and calipers
  • Excellent decision-making skills and organizational ability
  • Mechanically inclined, comfort level with using small hand tools
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
