Role OverviewThe Tool and Die maker will analyze specifications, machine tool and parts to fabricate dies from raw steel stock, and repair existing dies. This role is in-person at our 250,000 square foot facility in Lake Zurich, IL.
What You Will Do
Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts, select metals and alloys, set up and operate conventional machine tools, study blueprints, and inspect finished dies.
Why It Might Be a Fit
We're looking for someone with experience utilizing a press fit, slip fit and tolerance, and working with a broad range of materials. You'll need excellent communication skills and the ability to read and understand instructions.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience fabricating dies for automated or other related equipment
- Ability to use lathes, milling machine, grinders, drill machine, gauge blocks, dial indicators, calipers, and micrometers
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
