Role OverviewWe are seeking a 2nd Shift Welder to join our Fire Fabrication shop. In this position, you will be responsible for using a universal welder to make cuts and welds on steel pipe. You will work 8-12 hour shifts, including Saturdays, and must be able to communicate ideas, thoughts, etc. both verbally and in written form.
What You Will Do
Your duties will include reading blueprints and drawings, taking measurements to plan layouts, setting up welding machines, welding components, maintaining equipment, testing machine welds, and welding by hand any leaks found in quality penetration die tests.

We are looking for a dependable and reliable individual with 4+ years of welding experience, who is able to work extended hours and weekends as required. You must be able to communicate ideas, thoughts, etc. both verbally and in written form, and be able to push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Requirements
- 4+ years of welding experience
- Read a tape measure
- Pipe welding and welding certificates a plus
- Be dependable
- Good attendance and a positive attitude
- Good work ethic and a willingness to learn
- Must be able to communicate ideas, thoughts, etc. both verbally and in written form
- Must be able to work Saturday (will count against attendance record if missed)
- Must be 18 years or older
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow directions and communicate with others
- Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, and walk for 8-12 hour shifts
- Ability to pass a drug test
